For the fifth successive week, we are putting a new artwork under the hammer. This week’s [Un]original is inspired by Antony Gormley’s moulds of his own body.
Antony Gormley is a London artist born in 1950. He became widely well known for his work on the relationship of the human body to space through sculptures, installations and public artworks in the 1960’s. His best-known works include the Angel of the North, a public sculpture in Gateshead, Another Place on Crosby Beach, and Event Horizon, a multi-part site installation.
If the artwork doesn’t get sold before next Monday 11am, it will be destroyed.
