This week UNDER THE HAMMER offers you the chance to buy, or doom to destruction, Frame, an (Un)original inspired by Warhol’s screen prints of Marilyn Monroe. Screen printing is a technique close to Williams’ heart having used it many time during his twenties and this piece reflects on a process that became a widely-recognized art form in the 60’s. Warhol’s prints now sell for many millions: if this artwork isn't sold before 11am next Monday, it will be destroyed.
